The Commons of Downtown Medford Included in EPA Program
07.28.07

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved The Commons of Downtown Medford for Brownfield assessment grants.

Medford Urban Renewal Agency has been issued a grant to facilitate testing of the soil for petroleum products.

The EPA’s Brownfield program has a history of success with identifying petroleum pollution in the ground and water, and remediating cleanup in a safe and community health conscious manner.

When the project is finished, the land planned for use will be clean and environmentally stable.
